Job summary

Pavion is hiring an Installation Technician to lead and perform installation and maintenance of mission critical security, A/V, and wireless systems across New England. The role emphasizes field diagnostics, cabling, documentation, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Applicants should have 3+ years in low voltage installations, MA D-License if MA work, and ability to travel regionally. A comprehensive benefits package is offered along with on-call rotation requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience with installation and commissioning of low voltage/Data Communication systems including Security, Audio/Visual, and Wireless.
• MA State D-License (Required for MA Security work).
• Ability to independently lead/ manage medium to large sized Mission Critical projects.
• Ability to read and interpret project scopes, floor plans, submittals, specifications, installation manuals, test reports.
• Proficient in cabling best practices.
• Experience with Fire Stopping; able to fire-stop penetrations.
• General networking understanding (wired/wireless).
• Proficient with low voltage testing tools and construction tools.
• Knowledge of system integration with other hardware/software.

Responsibilities

• Take lead on and support with repair/maintenance and installation of Mission Critical systems across New England (Security, A/V, Wireless).
• Perform low voltage cable installation, cable management, terminations, device installation, and project duties.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems and equipment as needed.
• Produce documentation: commissioning reports, test reports, as-builts, system certification.
• Provide daily project status updates to the Project Management team.
• Summarize and report non-compliant attributes of a project, site, or system.
• Implement security measures to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Make decisions based on judgment and verifiable criteria.
