Job summary

Actalent in Lubbock, TX seeks a Mission Critical Quality Control Manager to lead QA for large-scale data center construction. You will drive inspections, audits, testing reviews, and documentation to ensure compliance with contract documents, client expectations, and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, commissioning, construction management, or a related field on large commercial or mission critical projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems and overall building construction processes.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings for quality and compliance.
• Proficiency in quality tracking, inspection reporting, and documentation management within construction environments.
• Ability to lead quality meetings and deliver training to project teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Willingness to travel to project sites nationwide as required.
• Experience with quality control management in data center or mission critical construction projects.
• Familiarity with construction management platforms such as Procore.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement project-specific quality control programs for large-scale mission critical and data center construction projects.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and testing reviews to verify construction work meets contract documents, client requirements, and industry standards.
• Manage quality-related documentation, including inspection reports, tracking logs, and records to maintain accurate and organized project quality files.
• Partner with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and owners to communicate and enforce quality expectations throughout all phases of construction.
• Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analyses, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented.
• Review construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to identify potential quality risks and address them.
• Lead quality meetings with project teams and trade partners to discuss standards and improvements.
• Provide training and guidance on quality control processes and best practices.
• Support project turnover activities, including client walkthroughs and punch list resolution.
• Participate in commissioning efforts to ensure systems perform as designed.
• Apply ISO 9000, Lean, and Kaizen to enhance quality processes and outcomes.
