Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Quality Field Engineer to join our national Mission Critical team in Chicago. You will assist Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure QA/QC across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP installations from inception to turnover.

The role focuses on field inspections, documentation, and coordination with trade partners, using Procore and other QA/QC tools to prepare for equipment commissioning. Travel may be required as projects span multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural, civil, structural engineering or construction management
• 1+ years of construction management or QA/QC experience preferred
• Willingness to travel

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of field installation requirements for each scope.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs and field inspections for all CSA and/or MEP installation.
• Monitor and update the Inspection Test Plan and other test/inspection logs.
• Compile photographic evidence and other supporting documentation to document all QA/QC-related activities on site.
• Monitor deficiencies and document corrective actions to remediate issues.
• Support the project team with completion lists and turnover activities.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specs.
• Participate in preparatory meetings for each definable feature of work.
