Job summary

Alston Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate the overall management of assigned projects. The role focuses on completing projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while enhancing client relations and the company’s image.

You will review contract and design documents for compliance, manage submittals and shop drawings, and ensure proper document control. Travel is required to support project execution across offices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field and appropriate experience successfully managing construction projects for a general contractor from conception to completion. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Design-build experience on relevant project types.

Responsibilities

• Leads, directs and coordinates the overall management of assigned projects.
• Ensure the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and attains profit goals.
• Ensure the quality completion of projects on time and within the allocated budget.
• Perform a qualitative review of contract documents to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
• Manage design documents, subcontract documents, submittals and shop drawings for specification compliance.
• Ensure proper document control and record keeping, submit close-out documents.
• Work with Superintendent to facilitate the project construction process and coordinate staff activities.
• Create and monitor a detailed master project schedule with timely reports.
• Lead or participate in responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Other related duties.
