MCL is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead mission critical and data center projects from preconstruction through closeout, including in live, occupied, or secure environments.

You will own the financial performance of projects, manage schedules, and coordinate with owners, engineers, and trade partners to deliver complex builds with minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience
• 3+ years as a Project Manager with a general contractor
• Experience leading mission critical, data center, or other technical projects
• Knowledge of critical infrastructure systems (UPS/generators/CRAC/CRAH, switchgear, fire suppression, BMS)
• Familiarity with commissioning processes and industry standards
• Experience in live, occupied, or secure environments with access/background checks
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience

Responsabilités

• Lead mission critical and data center projects from preconstruction to closeout, often in live or secure environments
• Own project budgets, forecasting, contracts, change management, and cost control
• Build and manage schedules with zero tolerance for slippage; identify risks affecting occupancy dates
• Coordinate with Superintendents and trade partners to sequence critical systems with minimal disruption
• Lead OAC meetings and act as a technically fluent partner to owners and engineers
• Drive commissioning (Cx), QA/QC, and risk management for mission critical infra
• Ensure security, access control and safety protocols in active environments
• Develop Project Engineers and Assistant PMs to build high-performing teams

What You Bring To The Arena

• Lead mission critical and data center projects from preconstruction and buyout through closeout, often in live, occupied, or secure environments.
• Own the financial performance of your projects, including budgets, forecasting, buyout, contracts, change management, and cost control.
• Build and manage project schedules with zero tolerance for slippage, proactively identifying risks that could jeopardize commissioning or occupancy dates.
• Partner with the Superintendent and specialty trade partners to sequence critical power, cooling, and life-safety systems without disrupting live operations.
• Lead OAC meetings and serve as a trusted, technically fluent partner to owners, engineers, and mission critical trade partners.
• Drive commissioning (Cx), QA/QC, and risk management processes specific to mission critical infrastructure.
• Manage the security, access control, and safety protocols required to work in active or classified environments.
• Develop Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers while building teams that execute flawlessly under pressure.

The Skills Behind The Build

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience, including 3+ years as a Project Manager with a general contractor.
• Proven experience independently leading $10M-$50M+ mission critical, data center, or other highly technical projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Working knowledge of critical infrastructure systems - UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH units, switchgear, fire suppression, and BMS.
• Familiarity with commissioning processes and industry standards (Uptime Institute Tier ratings, TIA-942, or similar).
• Experience working in live, occupied, or secure environments, including associated access and background-check protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent construction experience.
