Job summary

Trace Systems is seeking a Network Engineer II to support a global transport network for US SOCOM and mission partners. This contract role involves 24/7/365 shift work in a high-security DoD environment, with responsibilities spanning enterprise, tactical, and transport networks.

The candidate will configure Cisco-based networks, analyze and resolve complex issues, and provide operational reporting and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance; US citizenship required.
• DoD 8140 qualifications and education requirements.
• Bachelor's degree or military training aligned with 8140.
• Ability to travel worldwide, including multi-month assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier II network engineering and operational support for enterprise, tactical, and transport network infrastructures.
• Support 24/7/365 shift work for global operations network operations center.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco-based networks using BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VLANs, multicast, QoS, VPNs.
• Coordinate with NOCs, government stakeholders, and OEM partners to resolve incidents and improve service performance.
• Perform root-cause analysis of outages and document corrective actions.
