Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to support installation, integration, and sustainment of enterprise network solutions. You will configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices, perform staging and cabling, and execute deployments at customer and military locations.

The role emphasizes VPNs, VLANs, IP addressing, and cybersecurity compliance. Required are CCNP/CCIE-level certs or equivalent, active clearance, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• DoD- or government-focused network engineering certifications preferred.
• Experience with enterprise network devices and security compliance required.
• Ability to work at multiple deployment locations and coordinate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, integration, configuration, testing, and sustainment of network solutions.
• Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
• Execute deployments at customer, military, shipboard, and operational locations.
• Configure VLANs, routing, IP addressing, VPNs, and network services.
• Perform staging, rack-and-stack, cabling, and physical installation.
• Conduct pre-deployment testing and system integration validation.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues (L1–L3).
• Follow architecture diagrams and configuration guides; document results.
• Coordinate deployment activities with project teams and customer reps.
• Maintain records, IP plans, inventories, tests, and as-built docs.
• Support cyber requirements, STIGs, and configuration compliance.
• Turnover, training, and post-deployment support.
• Identify risks and communicate issues to leadership; travel for deployments.
