Job summary

ESFM is seeking a Building Engineer – Liquid Cooling to operate, monitor, and maintain critical cooling systems in a mission-critical environment in Florence, KY. The role emphasizes hands-on work with chilled water systems, pumps, hydronic piping, and HVAC controls, ensuring reliability and rapid response to alarms.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in building engineering or similar fields, EPA 608 certification, and experience with BAS/BMS platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building engineering, HVAC, mechanical maintenance, or critical facility operations.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Hands-on experience with chilled water systems, pumps, hydronic systems, heat exchangers, and HVAC controls.
• Experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities preferred.
• Trade licenses or certifications may be required by local jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot chilled water systems, pumps, valves, and HVAC equipment.
• Monitor temperatures, pressures, flow, and BAS/BMS alarms to ensure system reliability.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance using established procedures and safety practices.
• Respond to alarms and equipment failures; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs, work orders, and maintenance documentation.
• Support testing, startup/shutdown activities, and maintenance of cooling infrastructure.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors; verify completion and quality of work.
• Follow safety and site procedures in a 24/7 mission-critical environment.
