Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to support a mission-critical enterprise in Arlington, VA. The role involves working with contractors, government personnel, and SMEs to design targeting opportunities and cyber strategies.

Onsite with flexible options, the candidate should be self-motivated and capable of independent or small-team work. Required: strong Red Hat, OpenShift, virtualization, scripting (Bash/Python), and automation (Ansible).

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelors and 9+ years or Masters and 7+ years or 13 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Active Security+ or CISSP certification.
• Recent hands-on experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux and RedHat OpenShift.
• Experience managing, maintaining, and automating RHEL infrastructure.
• Strong ability to diagnose and resolve system performance issues.
• Experience with virtualization/docker technologies (Vmware, KVM, Docker).
• Scripting in Bash and Python; Ansible for automation.
• Networking technologies and troubleshooting knowledge.
