Job summary

KBR is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician for contingent work supporting INDOPACOM sites in Japan. The role covers maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of HVAC/R systems, including industrial kitchen hood and ducting, and associated facility equipment.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, ordering parts, and maintaining safety compliance. The candidate should have 5+ years of experience, DoD clearance, and EPA 608 certification, with readiness for site deployment.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess passport and visa pages with remaining validity.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of arrival.
• Strong HVAC/R fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains HVAC/R systems.
• Maintains and repairs building mechanical systems and associated equipment.
• Operates and maintains site vehicles and material handling equipment.
• Follows safety rules and uses required PPE.
• Interprets drawings/schematics for installation or repair work.
