Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Harness/Cable Design Specialist to join the Brevard County team in Florida. You will design point-to-point and complex cable assemblies, select materials for space and airborne applications, and translate subsystem requirements into electrical characteristics.

You’ll lead a design team and produce technical docs and verification procedures, collaborating closely with engineering to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher and relevant experience; or 8+ years without degree.
• Preferred skills include AutoCAD Electrical 2023+, Creo Cabling, Windchill PLM.
• Cable/harness design experience for space/airborne applications is valued.

Responsibilities

• Design point-to-point and complex cable assemblies.
• Select materials for space/airborne requirements.
• Capture interconnect requirements from subsystem docs.
• Calculate mass estimates for custom assemblies.
• Lead designers in work breakdown; coordinate with engineering.
