Job summary

Markon seeks a Software Developer (Alpha) in Chantilly, VA to design, develop, troubleshoot, and enhance complex software for mission-focused targeting capabilities. You’ll work with end users and an Agile team to build scalable solutions, manage technical data, and improve system performance in cloud/virtualized environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with an FSP is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least 6 years of relevant experience, OR
• Associate's degree with 8 years of relevant experience; or no degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of full-stack software development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience developing applications using Node.js.
• At least 2 years of backend and API development experience.
• At least 1 year deploying applications in cloud/virtualized environments (AWS, Azure, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
• At least 2 years of experience engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements.
• At least 2 years in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance targeting applications.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug complex software.
• Develop solutions to improve performance, scalability, and distributed processing.
• Handle and analyze highly technical data for troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with team to capture and reuse technical knowledge.
• Clarify requirements with stakeholders and end users.
