Job summary

Clayco Design and Engineering seeks a Lead Fire Protection Engineer - Mission Critical to design and coordinate fire protection systems for data centers, telecom hubs, and control rooms. You will lead calculations, system selection, and documentation, ensuring compliance with NFPA, IBC, UL, and local codes.

The role requires 8–12 years in mission-critical environments; PE license and CFPS desirable. You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical, civil disciplines and mentor junior staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of professional experience in fire protection for mission-critical facilities.
• PE license; CFPS or similar certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and coordination of fire protection systems for mission-critical facilities (data centers, telecom hubs, control rooms).
• Specify fire protection systems (fire suppression, alarms, smoke detection, life-safety).
• Perform hydraulic calculations and system evaluations; develop criteria and specs.
