Job summary

NT Concepts is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to join our solutions delivery team in the Washington DC area, with hybrid work from Vienna, VA or Chantilly, VA. You will design, build, and automate secure cloud deployments across multi-cloud environments, partnering with senior engineers to implement security controls and CI/CD pipelines.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in DevSecOps, experience with CI/CD tooling, containerization, and IaC, plus TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps or related software engineer roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (additional experience may be substituted for education).
• Experience designing, building, and automating CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and continuous delivery.
• Knowledge of secure DevOps practices and integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Experience working within cloud platforms and multi-cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google etc.).
• Experience with source control (e.g. GitHub) and CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodeBuild.
• Experience working with various Search Engines (e.g., CrafterCMS, OpenSearch, ElasticSearch).
• Experience with containerization software (e.g. Docker, Podman).
• Experience working with databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB).
• Experience working with real-time monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk, Grafana, etc.) for production system health.
• Familiarity with enterprise operation systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
• Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment with tools like Jira, Confluence, etc.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and continuous delivery with guidance from senior team members.
• Implement security practices throughout the software development lifecycle, following established compliance standards.
• Provision and configure infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) in cloud environments.
• Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting systems (CloudWatch, Splunk, Grafana) for production environments.
• Automate development, testing, and release activities to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
• Support code deployments across multiple environments and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Collaborate with developers and solution architects to implement technical solutions based on mission and business requirements.
• Work with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman) and support database operations (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Aurora MySQL).
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies and cross-functional collaboration.
