Job summary

Swoop Technologies is seeking a Deployment and Test Engineer to join our team focused on deploying and sustaining mission-critical systems. You will collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Operations to plan, execute, and optimize deployments across staging and production environments.

Ideal candidates bring DoD network deployment experience, strong OSI knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure while communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active US Secret security clearance required.
• 3–5+ years in DoD network environments in deployment or release roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; clear communication.
• Solid grasp of OSI networking and DoD contexts.
• Ability to work independently and with diverse teams under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute software deployments across environments.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to plan deployment activities.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and troubleshoot deployment processes and address failures.
• Automate deployment tasks to increase efficiency.
• Maintain documentation of deployment procedures and configurations.
• Perform post-deployment testing to ensure functionality.
• Work with cloud platforms to manage deployments.
• Ensure security and operational standards during deployments.
• Provide status updates to stakeholders.
