Job summary

Nominal is seeking a Deployment Systems Specialist to build and support high-scale infrastructure for advanced hardware systems. You will deploy in air-gapped and restricted environments, travel to end-user sites, and own projects end-to-end with top engineers.

You will work on on-prem, cloud, and hybrid deployments, focusing on reliability, observability, and automation. Candidates should be comfortable in Linux and Kubernetes, and able to navigate complex technical challenges with customers.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with security, compliance, and accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Nominal in restricted and self-hosted environments.
• Travel to customer locations for deployments and onboarding.
• Build repeatable deployment patterns across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
• Identify high-impact infrastructure challenges and shape roadmap priorities.
• Build observability and automation to simplify deployments and support.
• Make sound tradeoffs between speed, reliability, and maintainability.
• Own outcomes and escalate when needed.
