Blackrock Strategy, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Data Scientist / UX Product Designer to develop data-driven insights and intuitive user experiences for mission-critical decision support.

The hybrid role blends data analytics, user research, and product design to transform complex information into practical tools for military operators and government leaders; travel and security clearances are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance.
• Experience in data science, analytics, UX design, product design, or related technical discipline.
• Strong analytical skills including exploratory data analysis, performance metrics, visualization, and interpretation of complex data.
• Experience with user research, interaction design, interface development, usability testing, or rapid prototyping.
• Ability to translate technical data and operational requirements into actionable insights.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to support embedded, operator-facing work and evolving mission requirements.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational, behavioral, and technical performance data to identify trends and system effectiveness.
• Develop dashboards, visualizations, and analytical products for decision-making.
• Establish and monitor performance metrics for product effectiveness and data integration.
• Conduct user research with military operators and stakeholders to identify workflows.
• Design intuitive interfaces and product experiences for tactical and enterprise use.
• Prototype and refine through usability testing and feedback.
• Create analytical models and automated feedback mechanisms for evidence-based decisions.
• Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and product teams to align requirements.
• Document analytical methods and product requirements for sustainment.
