Job summary

Blackrock Strategy, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer / Systems Integration Engineer to design, develop, and sustain data infrastructure for mission-critical operations and analytics in the National Capital Region.

You will build scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and integration frameworks connecting diverse systems into a unified information environment. You will work with military operators, government stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable data solutions that

Qualifications

• Candidates must have strong experience in data engineering, systems integration, or related technical disciplines.
• Proficiency with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data lake/lakehouse architectures.
• Experience integrating heterogeneous systems and secure information-management practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data-ingestion pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and automated data workflows.
• Architect and sustain data lake and lakehouse environments, including systems that handle classified information.
• Integrate diverse applications, databases, and operational systems into a unified data architecture.
• Establish digital-thread capabilities linking requirements, development, operations, and performance assessment.
• Develop data models, schemas, and interfaces supporting analytics and decision-support tools.
• Implement data-quality, lineage, governance, and access-control practices.
• Collaborate with platform engineers, data scientists, and product teams to ensure secure interoperability.
• Troubleshoot integration challenges and optimize data performance.
