Job summary

ARCO Companies, a Family of Construction Companies, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead mission-critical data center projects in Chicago. You will own project performance, customer satisfaction, and profits from design to completion, partnering with clients and the design team.

This role offers strong growth, ESOP, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and a base salary range of $84,000–$160,000 with discretionary bonus. ARCO values safety, quality, and teamwork across nationwide projects.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 2–5 years of construction management/estimating experience.
• Data center or advanced manufacturing project experience preferred.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and admin tasks from preconstruction to closeout.
• Collaborate with clients and design team on budgets and concepts.
• Contribute to proposals, review scope, and discuss value engineering.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for trades.
• Identify opportunities to procure materials/equipment when advantageous.
• Work with Superintendent to review scopes, schedules, and site plans.
• Lead preconstruction meetings with designers, subs, and vendors.
• Lead on-site weekly/bi-weekly meetings to address progress and issues.
• Track performance vs budget; prepare pay apps and cost status reports.
• Keep the project engaging for clients and teams without compromising safety.
