Job summary

Quantum Space in Rockville, MD or Hawthorne, CA is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Specialist to own the day-to-day change control lifecycle across programs, including ECR/ECN/CO processing, document release, and baseline maintenance.

You will collaborate with systems engineering, manufacturing, software, and program managers to ensure traceability, data integrity, and mission readiness as projects move from development through flight.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of configuration management experience in aerospace or complex hardware programs.
• Experience with ECR/ECN/CO change control processes.
• Experience with document control and data management.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.
• U.S. security clearance eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ECR/ECN/CO workflow from intake to release.
• Own release of controlled documents and drawings for flight and ground systems.
• Maintain configuration status accounting and baseline records.
• Coordinate ICD distribution and change coordination across stakeholders.
• Prepare and support CCBs, track actions to closure.
• Administer CM workflows in Windchill/PLM with CMP-aligned metadata.
• Apply CUI/ITAR/EAR markings to controlled data.
