Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Cloud Security Architect to design and implement secure cloud-based, mission-critical systems for Air Force projects. You will assess RMF compliance, select tools, and guide architects across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.

You will mentor colleagues while advancing cloud security capabilities and ensuring information assurance requirements are met. This role emphasizes hands-on design and strategic collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of RMF/NIST evaluation experience.
• Experience deploying or maintaining government-approved security tools and methods.
• Experience with automated security scanning and DevSecOps pipelines (GitLab) and tools such as SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Trivy, KICS or Checkmarx for SAST/DAST and infrastructure compliance.
• Experience with system hardening and secrets management.
• Experience architecting network and data flow diagrams and documenting PPSM.
• Experience evaluating cloud services, tools, and technologies for government use.
• Experience writing IaC with AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree requirement.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT II Certification (e.g., Security+).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud-based, mission-critical systems for Air Force projects.
• Guide development of cloud security architectures across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Evaluate tools and capabilities to meet RMF and information assurance requirements.
• Mentor junior staff and teammates in cloud security best practices.
• Collaborate with Air Force stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective risk management.
