Job summary

Brookfield Renewable N.A. is seeking a System Operator in the National System Control Center. You will monitor hydroelectric, wind, solar, battery storage, and transmission assets, ensuring safe, reliable operation and adherence to grid schedules.

The role requires operating complex control systems, strong analytical skills, and readiness for night shifts, weekends, and travel to remote sites as needed. A related degree is preferred.

• Technically savvy with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable with computers and control systems, familiar with SCADA or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor real-time control systems (SCADA).
• Make quick, informed decisions to maintain license limits and public safety.
• Implement generation schedules and respond to dynamic grid conditions and weather events.
• Collaborate with field teams and remote operations to optimize performance.
