Job summary

Dover Networks LLC seeks a general-purpose software engineer embedded in operations for mission-centric projects. You will own the full product lifecycle—from design and prototype to development, release, deployment and maintenance of our toolset.

You will also modify other teams’ tools and integrate products into our toolkit to support operators and analysts. You will collaborate with analysts and engineers to define requirements, provide rapid operational support, and oversee longer

Qualifications

Produce and modify software systems in C/C++/Python, with explicit experience in network programming.
Provide support for fielded software systems.
Ability to coordinate and communicate with users of differing technical knowledge including operators, analysts, and other developers to deliver finished products to the customer.
Reverse engineering experience.
Familiarity with Git and Subversion.
Atlassian Tools (Confluence/Jira/Bamboo).

Responsibilities

Augment existing tools.
Derive, document, and analyze requirements.
Build prototypes to demonstrate understanding of mission requirements.
Produce end-to-end toolsets that can operate within mission constraints.
Provide technical consulting support across various software products and technologies, advising customers on operational direction.
Take part in peer code reviews.
