Bitwise, a mission-focused intelligence solutions provider, seeks a skilled software engineer for Ft. Meade, MD.

You will design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate software to support real-world intelligence operations across quick-reaction and longer lifecycles. Ideal candidates bring deep programming expertise in C, C++, or Python, experience with fielded systems, and the ability to coordinate with analysts, operators, and external shops to deliver holistic solutions while adhering to

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience with a B.S., or 10 years with an M.S. (4 years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree)
• Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Python — you should be able to produce and modify software systems in these languages
• Experience providing support for fielded software systems
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams — including analysts, operators, and external development shops — to deliver holistic software solutions
• Familiarity with Git and Subversion
• Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, and Bamboo
• Active TS//SCI clearance with polygraph
• Experience developing CNO-specific software for Linux, Windows, or embedded environments
• Experience with vulnerability research and exploit development
• Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems
• Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate software solutions that support intelligence operations
• Collaborate with analysts, operators, data scientists, and fellow engineers to deliver mission-focused capabilities
• Take part in peer code reviews to maintain high quality and low defects
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to derive and scope requirements and build prototypes
• Provide technical consulting across a range of software products and technologies
