Job summary

Bitwise is seeking a skilled reverse engineer and CNO software engineer to work on high-impact, mission-centric projects at Ft. Meade, Maryland.

You will design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate software solutions that directly support intelligence operations—both in quick-reaction scenarios and across longer development lifecycles. You’ll collaborate with analysts, operators, data scientists, and fellow software engineers to deliver tactical mission support, rolling up your sleeves on

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience with a B.S., or 10 years with an M.S. (4 years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree)
• Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Python — you should be able to produce and modify software systems in these languages
• Experience providing support for fielded software systems
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams — including analysts, operators, and external development shops — to deliver holistic software solutions
• Familiarity with Git and Subversion
• Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, and Bamboo
• Active TS//SCI clearance with polygraph
• Experience developing CNO-specific software for Linux, Windows, or embedded environments
• Experience with vulnerability research and exploit development
• Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems
• Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate software solutions that support intelligence operations
• Collaborate with analysts, operators, data scientists, and fellow software engineers to deliver mission capabilities
• Prototype and scope requirements, provide technical consulting across software products
• Participate in peer code reviews to maintain quality and reduce defects
