Northrop Grumman Marine Systems in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Staff Engineer Mission Assurance to lead structured problem solving, audits, and cross-functional coordination to ensure compliance and prevent defects.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in ISO 9001, QMS environments, and proven ability to mentor teams, develop master plans, and translate complex issues into actionable actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• Experience in a QMS-governed environment or high-reliability industry
• Experience with ISO 9001 including internal audit, document control, nonconformance, CAPA, management review
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action to closure
• Experience planning and conducting audits, assessments, or compliance reviews
• Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and project management tools

Responsabilités

• Lead structured problem solving to identify root cause and drive corrective actions
• Coordinate inputs and engage campus ecosystem to assess challenges and develop projects
• Plan and facilitate value stream mapping events and structured working sessions
• Lead mission assurance and QMS initiatives from scope through closure
• Develop core work products and manage status tracking and dashboards
• Translate complex situations into process flows and dependencies
• Mentor engineers in audit readiness and fact-based problem solving
• Use AI-enabled tools to inform scope and decisions
