Job summary

K2 Space Corporation is looking for a Mission Lead Engineer for their National Security Programs. This role involves serving as the primary technical interface between K2 Space, customers, and partners, and encompasses mission architecture shaping, requirements negotiation, and system integration designs. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with at least 5 years of aerospace experience. A comprehensive benefits package including a salary range of $125,000 to $250,000 plus equity is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with spacecraft or space systems.
• Direct experience designing, developing, integrating or testing spacecraft.
• Strong understanding of space system architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and negotiate mission concepts and support initial payload integration studies.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for system architecture and payload interface designs.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for early customer engagement.

Skills

Experience in aerospace or space industry

Strong understanding of spacecraft subsystems

Exceptional communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
