Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton in Honolulu is seeking an Artificial Intelligence and Optimization Engineer to design AI-enabled decision support, forecast and optimization solutions for DoW missions. You will join a team of engineers delivering enterprise AI capabilities and working with government partners.

You will build and maintain data pipelines on AWS GovCloud, leverage SageMaker, PySpark, and Delta Lake, and ensure model bias and explainability across production models.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, developing, validating, and deploying AI/ML and optimization models in production environments.
• 5+ years Python experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, PySpark and SQL.
• Secret clearance required; degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-enabled decision support capabilities including forecasting, optimization, NLP interfaces, and automated workflows.
• Build and maintain PySpark and Delta Lake pipelines in a medallion architecture.
• Implement pipelines on AWS GovCloud using SageMaker, Step Functions, and Databricks ML Runtime.
• Maintain model bias assessments and explainability documentation for production models.
• Collaborate with requirements owners and partner agencies to translate mission requirements into model specifications.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers.
