Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Integration & Test Engineer to lead integration test efforts for the Eastern Range Sustainment Electrical Test Team. You will plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for both in-house and COTS/GOTS components, with occasional travel to test sites.

Requirements include a bachelor’s in an engineering field, Agile experience, and proficiency with Microsoft 365, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead test efforts, including equipment spec and simulator development for integration testing.

  • Translate customer requirements into test solutions within technical, schedule, and cost bounds.
  • Establish specs, resolve interface issues, define input/output parameters, ensure proper integration.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for systems/subsystems.
  • Coordinate testing across program teams and external partners.
  • Analyze results and prepare evaluation reports validating performance.
  • Write discrepancy reports and perform regression testing on fixes.
  • Conduct Engineering Review Boards (ERBs).

Standard Job Description

As a Systems Integration & Test Engineer, you will plan and execute the integration test program for the Eastern Range Sustainment Electrical Test Team. You will develop test documentation and maintain solutions for integrating and testing components, elements, subsystems, and systems. Occasional travels will be required.

You will be required to complete On The Job Training (OJT) in order to become a Certified Test Conductor (CTC).

In the role you will:

  • 1. Lead test efforts, including test equipment specification and system element simulator development, to ensure mission success for Eastern Range Integration.
  • 2. Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for both in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and systems.
  • 3. Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into test solutions that respect technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • 4. Establish functional and technical specifications, resolve hardware/software interface issues, define input/output parameters, and ensure proper integration of the entire system or subsystem.
  • 5. Review, evaluate, and derive testability requirements; develop and direct comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems or subsystems.
  • 6. Coordinate subsystem and system testing activities with program teams and other organizations.
  • 7. Analyze test results and prepare thorough subsystem and system-level evaluation reports that verify and validate performance.
  • 8. Write discrepancy reports and conduct integration regression testing to confirm that fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems are properly validated.
  • 9. Conduct Engineering Review Boards (ERBs)
Basic Qualifications
  1. 1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  2. 2. Experience with Agile development methodologies and iterative test-execution cycles.
  3. 3. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) for documentation, reporting, and collaboration.
  4. 4. Effective written and oral communication with team members, stakeholders, and customers; ability to brief program management and produce clear test reports.
  5. 5. Familiarity in executing established procedures, schedules, and safety protocols.
  6. 6. Familiarity with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, spectrum analyzers).
  7. 7. Familiarity with test documentation, including test plans, procedures, checklists, and discrepancy reports.
  8. 8. Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing hardware-software interface issues and developing practical mitigation strategies.
  9. 9. Capability to coordinate across multiple organizations, interfacing with program teams, subsystem leads, and external partners to synchronize test activities.
  10. 10. Willingness and ability to travel as required to Eastern Range facilities or other test sites.
  11. 11. U S. citizen with ability to obtain a Interim Secret clearance
Desired Skills

  3. 3. Experience in space/missile system integration & test (electrical, EMC/EMI, environmental)
  4. 4. Experience in a satellite or missile test/production lab.
  5. 5. Experience testing spacecraft or missile systems.
  6. 6. Experience in EPDM (Windchill).
  7. 7. Experience in software coding.
  8. 8. Current LM Certified Test Conductor (CTC) certification or equivalent.
  9. 9. Experience in systems thinking.
  10. 10. Working knowledge and experience with Automation Framework.
  11. 11. Demonstrated Engineering knowledge and related processes in the areas of test discipline with a focus on error prevention and safety, controls logic and data acquisition & instrumentation.
  12. 12. Experience with lab/ground/flight hardware systems integration and/or the flight testing of military missiles, launch vehicles, spacecraft or aircraft.
  13. 13. Experience with COTS equipment and system integration, mechanical/electronic troubleshooting and use of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Test & Integration.
  14. 14. Knowledge of the latest Test and Measurement Equipment (T&ME) and techniques.
  15. 15. Experience with integration of shipboard systems and equipment.
  16. 16. Experience in Interpretation of Engineering Drawings.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
