Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering, math, or physics.
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Eligible to obtain Interim Secret clearance at start; U.S. citizenship required.
  • Willing to learn new skills and expand capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Learn inertial navigation with accelerometers and gyroscopes and study sources of inaccuracy.
  • Develop linear dynamics models for controller design and compare GNC algorithms.
  • Develop optimal estimation tools for evaluating flight test dynamics and navigation.
  • Improve existing tools and processes to analyze real flight test data.
  • Create navigation, guidance, and control algorithms for 6-DOF simulations.
  • Extend an object-oriented accuracy analysis library through full life cycle work.
  • Learn and apply optimal control theory to develop guidance algorithms.
  • Use MATLAB/Simulink to generate navigation sensor models and perform trade studies.
  • Build navigation code for embedded environments and validate code.
