Job summary

CHAOS Industries seeks a Modeling & Simulation Engineer for Missiles to develop and validate dynamic simulations of guided weapons and related flight vehicles. You will work across rapid trajectory models, high-fidelity 6-DOF simulations, and hardware-in-the-loop systems to support design, verification, and postflight reconstruction.

The role requires deep knowledge of flight mechanics, guidance, and sensor integration, plus strong programming in MATLAB, Python, or C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent expertise.
• Experience in missile or flight-vehicle modeling and simulation.
• Hands-on with 3-DOF/6-DOF simulations and flight dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain 3-DOF and 6-DOF flight simulations for missile systems.
• Implement equations of motion, coordinate transforms, and vehicle-state propagation.
• Integrate models of aerodynamics, propulsion, sensors, and control surfaces into simulations.
• Integrate guidance, navigation, and estimator functions into closed-loop sims.
• Evaluate trajectory performance, margins, and robustness; analyze failures.
