Job summary

The Boeing Company in Colorado Springs, CO (or Huntsville, AL) is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to join the Missile Defense National Team. You will design, develop, and test Java-based applications for the C2BMC system, contributing across design, code reviews, and integration activities.

We value hands-on experience with Java, Spring, SQL, and Unix/Linux environments, plus SysML modeling. Active Secret Clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (required).
• Active Secret Clearance (required).
• Familiarity with Agile software development process.
• 2+ years backend development experience (Java, Spring, Oracle SQL, SQL Server).
• 2+ years experience in Unix or Linux environments.
• 2+ years experience with development, deployment, and version control tools such as Git, Eclipse, Jira, and VersionOne.
• 1+ year experience with SysML Modeling Language.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and test Java-based applications for C2BMC.
• Support the full software development lifecycle: generate design artifacts, implement code, participate in design and code reviews, test, and resolve issues.
• Actively participate in agile planning and execution using established processes.
• Develop software requirements and architecture for MDS systems.
• Develop, select, tailor, and deploy integration and test processes, tools, and metrics.
• Execute and document integration and test activities and events.
• Mentor junior engineers.
