Job summary

Telesis Research LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Jr. Data Analyst to support the Architecture Validation Team within MDA's Chief Architect's Office. The role focuses on data analysis and visualization to inform missile-defense decisions.

You will develop dashboards and CGT tooling, leveraging QlikSense, Excel, and PowerPoint to drive reporting and insights, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is an on-site role at Redstone Arsenal with active security requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field and 3+ years supporting missile-defense-related or other DoD programs
• Experience working with and analyzing large data sets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to the Architecture Validation Team within MDA's Chief Architect's Office
• Assist in the development and management of the QlikSense-based CGT tool — reviewing, updating, and organizing gaps and threats
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations within the CGT to support reporting, analysis, and architecture decision-making

What you'll do:

• Provide direct support to the Architecture Validation Team within MDA's Chief Architect's Office


• Assist in the development and management of the QlikSense-based Capability Gap Tracker (CGT) tool — reviewing, updating, and organizing gaps and threats


• Develop dashboards and data visualizations within the CGT to support reporting, analysis, and architecture decision-making


• Work closely with other MDA organizations to help them understand and leverage the CGT while gaining insight into the elements of the missile-defense system


• Engage with cross-functional teams and CGT users to identify reporting needs and deliver data-driven solutions that improve decision support

Required qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI


• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field and 3+ years of experience supporting missile-defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects


• Experience working with and analyzing large data sets


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance


• Working knowledge of Missile Defense System (MDS) components, architectures, concepts, and threats


• Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, or Power BI


• Working knowledge of Systems Engineering processes including Model-Based Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering


• Experience with Digital Engineering tools and platforms such as Cameo or Palantir
