Job summary

APEX TK LLC is seeking a Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency's Architecture Validation team. You will develop and enhance the QlikSense-based Capability Gap Tracker, build dashboards, and provide data-driven insights for architecture decisions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a STEM field and 3+ years in missile defense or large DoD programs, with demonstrated data analysis skills and proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to the Architecture Validation Team within MDA's Chief Architect's Office.
• Assist in developing and managing the QlikSense-based Capability Gap Tracker (CGT) tool, including reviewing, updating, and organizing gaps and threats.
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations within the CGT to support reporting, analysis, and architecture decision-making.
• Collaborate with other MDA organizations to help them understand and leverage the CGT, gaining insight into missile defense system components.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to identify reporting needs and deliver data-driven solutions that improve decision support capabilities.

General Overview

APEX TK is looking for an amazingly talented Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer to join our team! In this role you will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Architecture Validation team as an Architecture Assessment Engineer by developing and enhancing the QlikSense-based Capability Gap Tracker tool.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide direct support to the Architecture Validation Team within MDA's Chief Architect's Office
• Assist in the development and management of the QlikSense-based Capability Gap Tracker (CGT) tool, to include reviewing, updating, and organizing gaps and threat
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations within the Capability Gap Tracker to support reporting, analysis, and architecture decision-making
• Work closely with other MDA organizations to help them understand and leverage the CGT while gaining insight into elements that make up the missile defense system
• Engage with cross-functional teams and Capability Gap Tracker users to identify reporting needs and deliver data-driven solutions that improve decision support capabilities

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field and 3+ years of experience supporting missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects
• Experience working with and analyzing large data sets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Working knowledge of Missile Defense Systems (MDS) components, architectures, concepts, and threats, with demonstrated understanding through analysis activities
• Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
• Working knowledge of Systems Engineering processes including Model-Based Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering strategies
• Experience with Digital Engineering tools and platforms such as Cameo, Palantir, or similar technologies
