Job summary

Telesis Research LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Principal-level Target Analysis Specialist for DoD missions. On-site role requiring US citizenship and an active Interim Secret clearance, with 20+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree (MS preferred).

You will develop and document target analysis products, plan tests, and support mission assets at Redstone Arsenal. Responsibilities include creating trajectories, analyzing data under tight 24-hour windows, and delivering technical reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with significant related experience.
• Active interim security clearance required.
• Experience in at least two target analysis areas listed in qualifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently or in teams.

Responsibilities

• Support development, integration, analysis, and documentation of target analysis products for pre- and post-mission activities.
• Plan test activities and allocate team resources to support mission activities.
• Contribute to development of target trajectories, flight scenarios, and debris scenes.
• Deploy for test missions and develop data analysis products within a 24-hour timeframe.
• Participate in Readiness Reviews and design reviews with analysis-based recommendations.
• Prepare technical reports and briefings on flight test targets.

Job description

Requisition #: TLS-26-006 | Clearance: Active DoD Interim Secret (US citizenship required) | Level: Principal | Experience: 20+ years | Education: Bachelor's (4-yr) | Work site: Redstone Arsenal – Huntsville, AL (on-site)

What you'll do:

• Support the development, integration, analysis, and documentation of target analysis products for pre-mission and post-mission activities for all MDA Flight Tests
• Plan test activities and provide recommendations for team assignments to support mission activities
• Contribute to development of Target Vehicle notional trajectories, flight scenarios, and debris scenes
• Deploy for test missions and develop data analysis products such as Target Best Estimated Trajectory (BET), Target Quick-look Brief, and Target Launch Time within required 24-hour (quick-look) timeframe, ensuring accuracy of data products
• Participate in target development and test planning activities such as Target System Readiness Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Target and Test Readiness Reviews, providing analysis and recommendations
• Prepare technical reports and/or briefings on various technical aspects of Flight Test Targets

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 20+ years of experience, or Master's Degree with 12+ years experience
• Interim Security clearance
• Experience in a minimum of 2 of the following areas: trajectory/kinematic simulation, EO/IR sensor exploitation, RF sensor exploitation, geodesy
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well alone and with a team

Preferred qualifications:

• B.S. in Engineering or Physics highly desired
• M.S. in Engineering or Physics
• Active Security Clearance desired
• Experience working independently and/or leading sub-teams to analyze and resolve problems
• Skilled in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Skilled in use of MATLAB and TAOS software
• Familiar with STK software
• Experience with missiles, targets, missile defense systems or hypersonic weapons
