Job summary

Telesis is seeking a Jr. Missile Defense Analyst to support analysis of future Missile Defense System architectures at Fort Belvoir, VA. On-site role requiring a Secret clearance and a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related DoD experience.

You will assess capability gaps, develop analysis plans, execute simulations, and prepare architecture briefs, while collaborating across teams to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain required.

• Basic understanding of current MDS architecture and future concepts.
• Some experience in modeling, assessment and evaluation of MDS architectures.

Job description

Support analysis of future Missile Defense System architectures and concepts: capability gap assessment, MDS simulation runs, and architecture analysis briefs.

Req: TLS-26-046 | Location: Fort Belvoir, VA (On-site) | Clearance: Secret | Level: Jr. | Experience: 3+ years | Education: Bachelor's (4-yr)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats to develop potential architecture solutions that mitigate gaps and/or improve performance
• Assist in the development of analysis plans, execute MDS simulation tools, post-process and assess analysis results, and prepare architecture analysis briefs/reports
• Support modeling & simulation (M&S) efforts related to the above to tailor tools to specific analysis plans

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience in missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
• Basic understanding of the current MDS architecture and future concepts
• Some experience in modeling, assessment, and evaluation of future missile defense architectures
• Basic skills in interpreting results and presenting findings clearly
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, as well as collaboration with others to achieve objectives
• Strong time management skills and the ability to assess tasks based on their importance and urgency

Desired Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Experience with AFSIM or similar MDS simulation tools/frameworks
• Background in IAMD/Cruise Missile Defense systems
• Background or experience with space systems
• Experience with the definition and use of advanced concepts and algorithms for the M&S of MDS architectures
