MTSI in Virginia is seeking an experienced Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer/Analyst to help analyze future MDS architectures and develop modeling and simulation tools to support architecture assessment.

You will assess capability gaps against threats, build analysis plans, run simulations, post-process results, and prepare briefs documenting findings.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in missile defense or large DoD program.
• Basic understanding of current MDS architecture and future concepts.
• Experience in modeling, assessment and evaluation of future MDS architectures.

MTSI is looking for an amazingly talented Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer/Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to participate in analysis of future Missile Defense System (MDS) architectures and concepts, and modeling and simulation (M&S) tool development to support architecture assessment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats to develop potential architecture solutions that mitigate gaps and/or improve performance
• Assist in the development of analysis plans, execute MDS simulation tools, post-process and assess analysis results, and prepare architecture analysis briefs/reports
• Support modeling and simulation (M&S) efforts related to the above to tailor tools to specific analysis plans

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience in missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
• Basic understanding of the current MDS architecture and future concepts
• Some experience in modeling, assessment, and evaluation of future missile defense architectures
• Basic skills in interpreting results and presenting findings clearly
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, as well as collaboration with others to achieve objectives
• Strong time management skills and the ability to assess tasks based on their importance and urgency

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Experience with AFSIM or similar MDS simulation tools/frameworks
• Background in IAMD/Cruise Missile Defense systems
• Background or experience with space systems
• Experience with the definition and use of advanced concepts and algorithms for the M&S of MDS architectures
• Experience supporting systems engineering-related architecture design activities

The pay range for this position in Virginia is $90,000/year to $110,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
