Job summary

Telesis is seeking a Principal Missile Defense Analyst to lead analysis of future Missile Defense System architectures and concepts at Fort Belvoir, VA. You will assess capability gaps, develop analysis plans, execute simulations, and prepare architecture briefs for senior leadership.

Required are a TS/SCI clearance, a Master’s degree (or 20+ years with Bachelor’s), and strong MDS modeling expertise. On-site collaboration and clear communication are essential for success in a high-stakes DoD

Qualifications

Job description

Lead analysis of future Missile Defense System architectures and concepts: capability gap assessment, analysis plans, MDS simulation runs, and M&S tool development (AFSIM).

Req: TLS-26-045 | Location: Fort Belvoir, VA (On-site) | Clearance: Secret | Level: Principal | Experience: 20+ years | Education: Bachelor's (4-yr)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats to develop potential architecture solutions that mitigate gaps and/or improve performance
• Assist in the development of analysis plans, execute MDS simulation tools, post-process and assess analysis results, and prepare architecture analysis briefs/reports
• Support modeling & simulation (M&S) efforts related to the above to tailor tools to specific analysis plans

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI
• Master's Degree with 12+ years of experience in missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project or a Bachelor's Degree with 20+ years experience
• Solid understanding of the current MDS architecture and future concepts
• Experience in modeling, assessment, and evaluation of future missile defense architectures
• Strong skill in interpreting results and presenting findings clearly
• Excellent ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, as well as collaboration with others to achieve objectives
• Strong time management skills and the ability to assess tasks based on their importance and urgency

Desired Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Experience with AFSIM or similar MDS simulation tools/frameworks
• Background in IAMD/Cruise Missile Defense systems
• Background or experience with space systems
• Experience with the definition and use of advanced concepts and algorithms for the M&S of MDS architectures

U.S. citizenship and an active security clearance are required.
