Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) seeks a Software Engineer for our Missile Defense team, based on-site in Mount Laurel, NJ. You will design, develop, test, and maintain software products using C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript, contributing across the full lifecycle and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements include a 3+ year track record, Linux and PostgreSQL experience, Git familiarity, and container know‑how (Docker/Podman).

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
• Experience working in Linux-based environments.
• Familiarity with SQL/relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker/Podman/OCI).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features and resolve defects.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code per engineering and security standards.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
