Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, MD invites current undergraduates and graduate students to join our Cross-Domain Battle Management Group for summer internships. You will work on challenging national security problems bridging missile defense, space domains, and systems engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Working knowledge of MATLAB, Python, Java, C, and/or C++.
• Interest in applying engineering to complex, national security problems.

Responsibilities

• Support internship projects within the Cross‑Domain Battle Management Group.
• Assist in R&D activities identifying gaps in missile defense systems.
• Analyze sensor and test data and help evaluate algorithms.
• Contribute to AI/ML approaches and software solutions.
