Program Summary

The MISS program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at supporting the US Department of State’s operations in Iraq. KBR will provide ongoing base operations and Life Support Services, along with advisory and consultancy capabilities to the Iraqi Government.

Job Summary

The Plumbing Supervisor will serve the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Plus task order in support of the U.S. Department of State (DOS). Responsibilities include performing plumbing requirements on O&M, small construction, remodeling, and renovation projects while supervising the plumbing team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe workplace and prioritize safety.
  • Comply with Environmental & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Provide supervision and oversight for plumbing systems in multiple buildings.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and new installations.
  • Read and understand blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Inspect structures for obstructions affecting integrity.
  • Layout plumbing systems accurately.
  • Manage daily work schedules and track preventative maintenance.
  • Plan and estimate labor and materials for projects.
  • Maintain accurate records for safety meetings and inventory.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Prepare documents for permits and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
  • Coordinate with plumbing foreman and leads for cross-training.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Plumber vocational diploma or completion of an apprentice program with a Journeyman License.
  • Two years’ experience as a Master Plumber or ten years as a Journeyman Plumber.
  • Three years’ supervisory experience in plumbing.
  • Experience with various piping materials.
  • US Citizen with a valid driver’s license and clean record.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Must possess a U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance or favorable USG Moderate Risk Public Trust certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of plumbing installations and repairs.
  • Ability to use plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of plumbing functions at overseas facilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach.
