Customized Energy Solutions (CES) is seeking an experienced Analyst, Wholesale Energy Services – Midwest Region to support wholesale electricity market consulting and operations, focusing on the MISO market. The role blends scheduling, settlements, reporting, and back-office tasks with analytical consulting.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in deregulated electricity markets, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate complex market concepts to clients and teammates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of professional experience in deregulated or organized wholesale electricity markets.
• Knowledge of the MISO wholesale electricity market, including market operations and settlement statements.
• Experience interacting with MISO market systems, processes, or market data.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field as listed in education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate generation scheduling, reporting, and related operational activities for wholesale generation clients.
• Review and analyze MISO settlement statements, identify discrepancies, prepare analyses, and submit settlement disputes when appropriate.
• Develop settlement reports, monitoring tools, models, and other analytical resources for clients.
• Monitor MISO market developments, rule changes, tariff requirements, and settlement impacts and communicate developments to clients.
• Assist in developing proposals and scopes of work and work with clients to refine objectives and deliverables.
• Communicate analytical findings and market developments clearly to internal teams and clients.
