Job summary

Foster Farms is seeking team members for production roles. The position involves cutting chicken, packing, labeling, inspecting, and rotating through production areas with a focus on safety and GMP.

Starting pay is $19.00 per hour plus shift premiums of $0.50 (4pm–midnight) and $1.00 (midnight–8am), plus longevity and attendance premiums. Benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) with company contributions, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Follow GMPs and all food safety procedures.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete, in cold or hot production areas.

Responsibilities

• Use small hand-held tools to cut chicken into segments for product run.
• Pack product into foam trays and/or plastic bags.
• Place labels and arrange on trays filled with chicken parts.
• Perform repetitive grasping, pushing, and pulling motions during packing, cutting, and grading.
• Rotate through various positions on production areas during the shift.
• Place empty trays and pads on the line.
• Visually inspect and grade chicken parts for production lines.
• Work in cold or hot environments depending on area.
• Communicate with supervision, leads, and co-workers for task updates and issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• Place labels and perform arrangement on trays filled with chicken parts.

• Rotate through various positions on production areas throughout the shift.
• Place empty trays and pads on the line.
• Visually inspect and grade chicken parts to determine grade for production lines.
• Work regularly in a cold or hot environment depending on designated work area.
• Communicate with Supervision, Lead personnel, and co-workers for assistance regarding assigned task(s), rotation, and production issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Report regularly and on time to work as well as work all required hours, including overtime and weekends as scheduled.
• Understand and follow established rules and procedures as well as accept constructive feedback.
• Work safely and set an example of good working safe habits.
• Follow established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all Food Safetyprocedures.
• Walk and stand on concrete floor, grating, or metal stand in a cold environment for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
