Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in miscellaneous metals installation.
• Strong leadership and safety culture skills.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW).
• Experience with Bluebeam, Trimble Connect, Tekla.
• OSHA 30 certificate preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety through regular meetings, training and leadership.

• Lead site foremen and oversee field installation for miscellaneous metals.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams on goals, resources and issue resolution.
• Schedule weekly labor and manage equipment/material deliveries.
• Guide teams in applying company policies and values.
• Provide expertise in stairs, handrail, CMU bracing, stainless, glass handrails, and related finish work.
• Monitor progress and report on project status.
• Apply the quality system during planning and execution.
• Forecast labor needs and coordinate staffing and recruitment.

Job description

Hanover Iron Works, Inc. is seeking a skilled General Superintendent to join our team. Our team works on exciting construction projects installing stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote proactive safety behavior through regular safety meetings, training, and leadership.
• Ensure all field operations comply with regulatory requirements, company safety policies, and job/client-specific safety requirements and plans.
• Lead and guide site foreman and overall field installation for miscellaneous metals projects.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to maintain alignment on project goals, resource planning, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate weekly labor schedule and delivery of equipment and materials for each job site.
• Guide leaders in implementing company policies and representing company values.
• Provide expertise and resources in installation of stairs, handrail, CMU bracing, stainless, glass handrail, finish work, AESS, rigging, equipment operation, and partitions framing.
• Monitor and report on project progress.
• Apply knowledge of the quality system and standards during planning and execution.
• Forecast labor needs and coordinate with field operations leadership for staffing and recruitment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in miscellaneous metals installation preferred.
• Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and the SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes.
• Experience with relevant software such as Bluebeam, Trimble Connect, and Tekla.
• Current OSHA 30 Certificate preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to fulfill daily regional travel for job site visits and occasional overnight stays.
