The Maryland Department of Transportation The Secretary's Office (MDOT TSO) is seeking an MBE Officer II for the Office of Minority Business Enterprise (OMBE). This role primarily involves investigating firms applying for certifications such as MBE, DBE, ACDBE, or SBE, ensuring compliance with federal and state standards. Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing confidential financial documents, legal papers, and corporate records.
• Investigating certification applications, expansions, and annual reviews.
• Advising on application areas needing further inquiry.
• Conducting investigations into ineligibility, abuse, or fraud related to the program.

This vacancy is located at MDOT TSO in Hanover, Maryland, Anne Arundel County.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: At least one year of experience in investigating regulated activities, overseeing programs, community outreach, or contract monitoring.

Consideration may be given to additional relevant experience or graduate education in lieu of formal education requirements.

Licenses & Certifications

Possession of a valid Maryland motor vehicle operator's license may be required.
