The Maryland Department of Transportation The Secretary's Office (MDOT TSO) is recruiting for an MBE Officer II for the Office of Minority Business Enterprise (OMBE). The primary purpose of this position is to investigate firms applying for certifications as Minority Business Enterprise/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise/Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise/Small Business Enterprise (MBE/DBE/ACDBE/SBE) according to federal and state law standards. Duties include but are not limited to:

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: One (1) year of experience investigating regulated activities for compliance, overseeing program/business development, community outreach, or contract monitoring.
Note: Additional work experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis. Graduate-level education may substitute for experience at a rate of 30 semester credit hours per year.
Employees may be required to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid Maryland driver’s license.
