Telecounselor Associate

New Season operates over 70 treatment centers across multiple states, engaged in medication-assisted treatment, counseling, and support for individuals with OUD. We are seeking a Telecounselor Associate to serve the community with our team.

Job Summary

Telecounselors provide individual counseling via HIPAA compliant video platforms to patients nationwide, working within a multidisciplinary team to address clinical needs and support recovery. Responsibilities include documentation, patient communication, and compliance with regulations. Telecommuting is possible based on performance and policy adherence.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct individual counseling sessions via video.
  • Educate patients on treatment and recovery steps.
  • Maintain at least 50% of hours in direct patient contact.
  • Complete all required documentation promptly.
  • Assist with intake, discharge, and transfer paperwork.
  • Ensure file and documentation compliance.
  • Identify and address clinical needs.
  • Communicate effectively with team and support staff.
  • Report abuse, neglect, grievances, and coordinate drug screens.
  • Ensure understanding of policies and regulations.
  • Maintain licensure/certification as required.
  • Participate in inspections, meetings, and supervision.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Services field; Florida Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with ability to obtain licensure within 2 years; at least 1 year counseling experience.
  • Knowledge of substance abuse and telecounseling preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and tech skills; dependable and able to multitask.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

Includes sedentary work, computer use, and potential remote work with private workspace requirements. Occasional travel may be needed.

Working Conditions

Office environment with moderate noise; remote work possible with proper setup.

Mental Activities

Requires reasoning, basic math, and fluent English communication skills.
