Job summary

Minit Stop in Hawaii is seeking a Customer Service Associate – Cashier to be the welcoming face and frontline representative of our stores. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and ensure a smooth checkout experience, delivering friendly and efficient service with aloha.

Starting pay is $16.50 per hour with a $250 training bonus after completing cashier training. Career progression to Senior Customer Service Associate or Shift Manager is available, with pay increases and opportunities

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience preferred.
• Obtain TB clearance and Safe Food Handler's Certification upon hire.
• Liquor Card within 60 days of hire.
• Previous cash and food handling experience preferred.
• Positive attitude with effective communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash, credit and debit transactions on the POS system and balance the cash register.
• Learn basic food safety procedures and temperature controls.
• Assist with inventory stocking, organization and rotation.

Job Summary

What You Will Do

• Greet and assist customers in a positive and professional manner as they enter the store and throughout their visit using Minit Stop\'s Core Values and Practices.
• Handle cash, credit and debit transactions accurately on the store\'s Point of Sale system and balance the cash register at the end of shift.
• Learn and understand basic food safety procedures including awareness of temperature related requirements for key ingredients and products to avoid food-borne illness.
• Assist with inventory stocking, organization and rotation.
• Cleaning, maintenance and general upkeep of the store floor.
• Operate and maintain all company equipment and report workplace hazards, injuries and incidents to store leadership in a timely fashion.
• Promote company sponsored incentives, promotions and Reward Programs.
• Assist customers with inquiries and effectively resolve any issues that may arise.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Seeking candidates 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred.
• Obtain a TB Clearance and Safe Food Handler\'s Certification upon hire and acquire a Liquor Card within 60 days of hire.
• Previous cash and food handling experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, enthusiasm for acquiring new skills, have effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow Company policies and directions and understand and abide by Local, State and Federal laws pertaining to the sale of alcohol and tobacco products and handling of food.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds to a height of at least 4 feet with or without reasonable accommodation and stand for prolonged periods of time throughout the day.
• Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record including being available for shifts throughout the store operating hours.
