Job summary

Chase Oaks Church is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to administer payroll and employee benefits for Chase Oaks Church and the Center for Church Renewal (CCR). The role focuses on accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and tax compliance, while maintaining confidentiality and top-tier customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of payroll administration experience.
• Employee benefits administration experience preferred.
• Paycom payroll administration experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with church payroll, clergy compensation, and pastoral housing allowances preferred.
• College level accounting degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect and input payroll data in Paycom and process employee changes for Chase Oaks Church and CCR, ensuring IRS compliance.
• Maintain payroll system setup and tax reporting changes for pastors and clergy as required by IRS regulations.
• Process semi-monthly payroll and prepare manual checks, voids, and payroll corrections.
• Manage wage garnishments and prepare Form 941 filings, W-2/W-3 reporting.
• Provide payroll-related reporting, post payroll entries, reconcile benefits accruals, and contribute to GL mapping.
• Update HSA systems, deposits, and quarterly employer contributions.
• Input and verify annual salary, housing allowances, and benefit information during each cycle.
• Coordinate Love Fund assistance and confidential payroll reporting with HR Director.
• Respond to employment and salary verification requests from agencies and organizations.
• Administer employee benefits programs and open enrollment communications.
