Strategic Outcomes of this Position

The Ministry Logistics & Events Resident builds the operational structures and drives the processes that move Bridgeway's ministries from vision to execution with clarity, consistency, and confidence. Through proactive planning, organized coordination, and diligent follow-through, ministry leaders are equipped to invest more of their time in leading people rather than managing logistics.

By translating ideas into actionable project plans, coordinating ministry events, facilitating communication, and maintaining operational workflows through Planning Center Online and Basecamp, this position creates consistency, accountability, and momentum across Bridgeway's ministry initiatives.

The Residency provides a structured opportunity for both the Resident and Bridgeway to evaluate long-term alignment, role fit, and potential for continued employment within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Success Measures:
  • Ministry projects moving from intake to completion through clear and consistent processes.
  • Ministry leaders receiving timely operational guidance and follow-up.
  • Accurate, organized, and reliable Planning Center and Basecamp systems.
  • Clear documentation of decisions, assignments, timelines, and project changes.
  • Effective coordination across ministries and support departments.
  • Strong stewardship of ministry budgets, vendors, and church resources.
  • Useful event evaluations and process improvements after major initiatives.
  • Project and Event Coordination
    • Manage Event and Resource Requests from intake through completion.
    • Serve as the primary coordinator for ministry projects from planning through execution.
    • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and assignments in Basecamp.
    • Support ministry leaders with event logistics, vendors, supplies, and run-of-show planning.
    • Track deadlines, follow up on assignments, and communicate project updates.
    • Conduct debriefs and document improvements for future events.
  • Project Team Support
    • Prepare materials and updates for the Thursday Project Team Meeting.
    • Facilitate assigned portions of the meeting under the direction of the Director of Ministry Logistics and COO.
    • Record decisions, action steps, owners, and deadlines.
    • Update Basecamp and related systems after project decisions.
  • Planning Center and Basecamp Administration
    • Support Planning Center People, Calendar, Groups, Check-Ins, and related operational tools.
    • Respond to support requests and provide training to employees and volunteers.
    • Maintain accurate records, workflows, permissions, and procedures.
    • Serve as a primary resource for Basecamp setup, training, templates, and project organization.
    • Partner with Communications on registrations and public-facing Church Center content.
    • Develop, document, and maintain operational standards and best practices for Planning Center Online and Basecamp.
  • Ministry Leader Support
    • Work with ministry leaders turn ideas into clear plans, timelines, and resource needs.
    • Manage requests via Basecamp, assigning to the appropriate department with appropriate follow-through.
    • Assist as‑needed with ministry documents, reimbursements, and operational procedures.
    • Support assigned ministries with event planning and execution.
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist in tracking project budgets, expenses, reimbursements, and vendor details.
    • Maintain project documentation and standard operating procedures.
    • Respond to support requests and general inquiries as assigned.
Required Education and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or higher.
  • Experience in project coordination, event planning, ministry operations, administration, or a related field.
  • Experience using a project management system to organize projects, assignments, timelines, and follow-up.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects or events with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools.
Preferred Education and Qualifications
  • College degree or post‑secondary training in project management, business administration, nonprofit leadership, ministry, event management, or a related field.
  • Experience using Basecamp for project management and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Experience using the Planning Center suite to support ministry operations and events.
  • Experience using Google Workspace in a collaborative organizational environment.
  • Experience in a church, nonprofit, or volunteer‑led environment.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities concurrently.
  • Ability to translate ministry ideas into clear plans, assignments, resource needs, and next steps.

  • Ability to learn and effectively administer project management and ministry management systems, while training others in established processes.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment.

Hybrid work environment as deemed appropriate by supervisor and approved by COO (4 days in the office, 1 day per week remote)

Travel is primarily local during the business day; however, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required. Bridgeway operates out of two locations [as well as flexible remote work if applicable to this position]

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Expected work hours may fall outside of standard business hours as requested and/or approved by the CEO, COO, CFO, and Director of Ministry Logistics, including holidays.

The current work week is Tuesday through Friday; Sundays.
